A discussion with Dr. CARTIGNY, an emergency intern at the hospital in Saint-Omer, Pas-de-Calais, allowed me to join a service of reception of the triage at the A & E department during 24 hours.
What I witnessed was how quickly the patients were registered, diagnosed and sent home without being given any long-term solution. I started wondering whether these patients could not benefit from a consultation with an osteopath ? I then decided to conduct a statistical survey of the number of patients sent home who could be seen immediately and exclusively by an osteopath.
