The thyroid gland, particularly the hypothyroid, being still little investigated in osteopathy, we wished to study it, because this structure presents important functions in the physiological balance.
Our aim was to know if an osteopathic treatment in embryonic motility could improve the symptoms and the rate of TSH of patients in hypothyroid.
We set up an osteopathic protocol in three sessions, using techniques of embryonic motility on the various structures of the hormonal hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis.
In spite of the low rate of results following our hypothesis, we were able to notice variations on stable patients, it gives us lines of enquiry.
These results support us to continue with additional sessions, over a longer period,
to consolidate or not the hypothesis with more hindsight. - 2015 . - 61 p.
