The present project set out to try to demonstrate the usefulness of visceral techniques, and more specifically with the duodenum, through certain abdominal fascias (such as the Treitz fascia) in the treatment of a patien suffering with chronic lumbar pain. Firstly we will examine certain anatomical and biomechanical themes. Secondly, we will address the clinical manifestations of chronic lumbar pan in order to come finally to the visceral and structural techniques used in the face of these symptoms. Our study will conclude with trials corried out on 23 patients, evaluated by means of the Schober Index and the medius-ground distance. The comparison of osteopathic techniques will permit the choice of the most appropriate treatment for this pathology. |
