Although Charleston nightime bending brace and the behavioural treatment for adolescent scoliosis show good perspectives for the future, but needs further research to confirm the efficacity of treatment.
The second Chapter shows different ways of treating scolioris conservatively.
This section shows three approaches of how to dal with this condition. Chiropractic, osteopathic and physiotherapist management of scolioris, providing their own prinicplaes aims and limits.
The third and last chapter presents an outline of the advantages and disavantages of the major surgical techniques used currently. This section shows that despite great fadvances in the post Harrington era, no one system for posterior spinal instrumentation sppears to be for all cases.
Although new research suggests that normal melatonin synthesis or matabolism may have an important role in regulating normal spine growth, and a defect in lelatonin could contribute to the aetiology of adolescent idiopathic scolioris. This need further research to be undertaken to approved or discard he possible role of melatonin in pathogenesis of adolescent scolioiris.
