Dans un premier temps, nous étudierons les composantes neurophysiologiques du toucher, qui expliquent certaines réactions observables lors d'un traitement ostéopathique. Puis nous aborderons la dimension psychologique qu'implique le toucher de par ses aspects social, ethnique, culturel... pour enfin, aborder le toucher thérapeutique dans la pratique ostéopathique. La réciprocité du toucher et son intérêt communicationnel ont un rôle fondamental dans la relation patient-praticien. Et la volonté de réponse à ces interrogations est la raison d'être de ce mémoire.
