It's because I had the pleasure to learn and to practice these two jobs that I suggested this work. Beyond the requested skills and the very specific purpose of each mission, both jobs require the same passion for human relations and the willingness to help the others. They share the same philosophy: To contribute to be and to continue to exist. Each of their missions is a different project. The purpose of their respective work is about finding ways to maintain the health or help recover, both from a patient or a company perspective.
This work suggests approaching the Osteopathy through the prism of management and vice versa. The idea is to bring light on the similarities and the potential analogies between attitudes, methods and behavior necessary for both jobs, be it in front of their patients or their collaborators. The osteopath and the manager have to behave as leaders. AT Still was the first osteopath, but also a charismatic leader. His life and his journey towards the Osteopathy illustrate our comparison.
The team should be seen as a patient and conversely. Besides their specific skills and their motivation, the osteopath and the manager must have trust in two essential elements to get their work done in an efficient way: The inherent power of the team at their disposal, and the importance of the interrelation mode of tissues with whom they communicate. It's key to understand that improving the relation dominates on everything else. - 105.
