Après quelques rappels concernant l'anatomie, les étiologies et la prise en charge hospitalière de ces blessés, ce mémoire présente la façon dont les principes ostéopathiques se mettent au service des comateux ; ces traumatisés crâniens graves suspendus entre la vie et la mort. Ensuite cette étude établit des résultats encourageants, confortant l'idée que le traitement ostéopathique a sa place auprès des traumatisés crâniens sévères, en complément des traitements de réanimation. Puis cette expérience est relatée à travers certains faits, mais aussi par les difficultés rencontrées, et les leçons de vie apportées par les patients réveillés. Elle porte sur un groupe de 12 patients, tous suivi en orthophonie. L'étiologie des malpositions linguales est multiple, car la langue est un organe essentiel dans les fonctions de la cavité buccale : la respiration, la déglutition, la mastication et la phonation. Le travail commun entre ostéopathe et orthophoniste se concrétise par l'élaboration d'une grille d'évaluation orthophonique précise et d'un bilan ostéopathique. La complémentarité entre ostéopathe et orthophoniste a permis de mettre en évidence les schémas lésionnels de chacun, de mieux les comprendre et ainsi d'adapter les traitements entrepris. Les changements observés s'appuient principalement sur la respiration, le faciès, la posture, la concentration mentale et l'investissement personnel. The goal of this study is to evaluate the possibility of improving the disorders and the pain for patients suffering from abnormal positioning of the tongue in the mouth, by associating two therapeutic techniques: osteopathy and speech therapy. It is based on a group of twelve patients, all being followed in speech therapy. There are multiple origins for the abnormal positioning of the tongue in the mouth due to the fact that the tongue is a very important organ in the functions of the mouth: breathing, swallowing, chewing and speaking. The teamwork between the osteopath and the speech therapist is realised by creating a detailed speech therapy evaluation and an osteopathic check up. The fact that the speech therapist and the osteopath complement each other helps show the type of lesions for each individual, to understand them better and to adapt the type of treatment chosen. The changes that were observed were focused on the breathing,facial expressions, posture, focus and personal investment. This is a book of odontology for both the dentist and for the general practitioner, physiotherapist and osteopath. Only the last three chapters have been translated. The first four chapters of the anatomical and biomechanical points of temporomandibular joint have been summarized to simplify the introduction of the book. This dissertation presents an analytical study and a discussion which I think is necessary to enable the reader to ask some questions.
